EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy

Helping you heal from scary, stressful, & traumatic experiences — without having to talk the whole time.

Trauma-Informed,
Whole Person Focused

Trauma is often associated with significant losses, terrifying moments, or experiencing extreme pain. Yes, that’s (Big T) Trauma, but trauma (little t) also includes the embarrassment you hold from standing in front of your class and forgetting the words to your presentation. It includes relationship challenges, difficult childhood experiences, losing a job, feeling left out or unwanted, difficulties navigating a world-wide pandemic, and so much more.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help your brain process and heal from distressing experiences. Trauma can leave memories feeling "stuck," causing them to continue influencing how you think, feel, and respond long after the event has passed. EMDR helps your brain reprocess these memories so they become less emotionally overwhelming, allowing you to move forward without feeling defined by your past.

Rather than reliving your experiences in detail, EMDR supports your brain's natural ability to heal, helping you feel safer, more grounded, and more connected to yourself in the present.

In our work together, I will walk alongside you as we navigate out of your trauma/stress response and into healing and hope for a happier future.
